Messages app crashing

My Samsung Messages app keeps closing. I've restarted my phone multiple times. I've gone to Settings > App Settings > Messages > Storage and hit Clear cache and Clear data. When I do this, the space used for cache and data go down to 0, but then immediately go back up to the original storage amounts when I reopen Messages.

I found a previous conversation about Messages crashing in Dec 2023 and tried following the instructions but when I held down the power button and volume up with the phone turned off, the phone restarted as normal, even though I held them down until after the Samsung logo disappeared.

If I can't fix it, can I install a different app for

My Google storage is 94% full. Could that be connected?

I also disabled Google meet & now my messages work again, who ever brought that up thank you from Houston,Tx ✌️ Good Job...not only is my messages working again...my phone isn't lagging anymore...

Yes I love this massage app but aa of this am it's not working rote at all what happens to it

I can see my messages, but if I open one it vanishes after a few seconds.

If u have Google meet disable that and see if it works

Disable Google meet. That worked for me

Upon Community advice, I disabled Meet and my error cleared. Thanks, all!

When I get a text with an emoji it show a box with an x in it after I Uninstalled meet

I'm trying to text but it keeps kicking me out. I've already trying powering off my phone and I looked at my settings to see if it had something to do with that.

Text message keeps crashing
