No longer have the option to scan barcodes in Samsung wallet

If I try to add any form of membership in the samsung wallet app, I don't have the option to scan a barcode, which used to be there, and my app is completely up to date. Is there any way to fix this?

You can try clearing the Samsung Wallet app's cache/data which may work if it is a software glitch. Open device settings (cogwheel icon)>apps>Samsung Wallet>storage>clear cache/data>restart phone. Note if you clear data you will have to sign back into your account.
