I figured out why its acting laggy and thats because its trying to load all the images then it will scroll down, before you would scroll and then the images would load making it alot smoother. Is there any sort of setting to change this?

How much storage do you have left? Sometimes when a phone storage is almost full, it will start to lag and slow down

Hello, We understand how frustrating lag can be when accessing the Gallery. There is not an option to change the way the Gallery loads the photos. Here is an article that provides available options for using the Gallery, as well as the Gallery Settings. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00079026/

We suggest clearing the app cache of the Gallery to help with the lag. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00077611/

You can also try clearing the cache partition of the phone and repairing the apps in the recovery menu.

To get to recovery mode:
- Turn off phone
- Once off, hold down volume up and power buttons simultaneously
- When Samsung logo appears, release power button BUT KEEP HOLDING VOLUME UP until the recovery menu appears
- Use volume buttons to navigate down to clear cache (NOT CLEAR DATA/ FACTORY RESET)
- Use power button to select.
- Run the repair apps option and your device will restart.
If you continue to experience lag, we recommend recreating the issue and submitting an error report. Gallery>Settings>Contact Us>Error Reports.
