Hey all, I'm encountering this issue where I can't send a video file from my Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 to either my Samsung Galaxy S24 or Galaxy Tab S8

I keep hitting the 'Accept' button but its doing nothing!

That's an awfully big file to send via quick share. You would be better off connecting your device via cable to the chromebook and doing a normal file transfer, or transfering via a flash drive. Also, it's been my understanding that quick share only sends a link to the file, not the actual file.

No it sends image files fine, but video files, at least one thats edited, it just doesn't work for some reason, they need to tweak it to work better

And on top of that, I'm a YouTuber, so i kinda need to be able to transfer files over, even wirelessly

The one time I tried to use Quick Share to send something to one of my other devices, it only sent a link (which is basically useless), and I read others on here complaining about that.  I don't usually have a need to use it, I just transfer files the old-fashioned way, mainly because that's what I've always done, and I have more non-Samsung devices than Samsung ones. Even if there is a way to send the actual file, I would think that there would be file size limitations, and a video file may be over that limit.  I hope someone has a better answer for you, because I'd like to know how it works, as well.

Hey Richard, Thanks for being part of the Community. We understand how frustrating it can be to send large files.

It looks like Quickshare is limited to 1GB at a time and 2GB per day. You can find more information here: https://www.samsung.com/ph/support/mobile-devices/how-to-use-quickshare-feature-on-galaxy-mobile-dev...

Please submit an error report to provide feedback to Samsung: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Tips-Tricks/How-to-Submit-an-Error-Report/ba-p/3001692

We will leave the thread open, and hopefully another Member has a suggestion on how to transfer larger files.

Maybe I have a solution: you can try cutting the video into smaller files. Then transfer it. If it's possible, put the video back together.

You can try Google Drive or OneDrive as alternatives.
