Samsung AI has become so restricted that it is almost useless.

Lately, I have realized that Samsung AI flags almost any text as inappropriate. We really paid a lot of money for these tools. They told us that these tools would help us increase our productivity and make our lives easier. Afterward, we realized that they are heavily censored, limiting our capacity to express our ideas freely. Even more worrisome is their apparent political bias. For instance, I was texting with a friend about yy. When I used the AI grammar corrector, it changed the text to "yy, a controversial leader," which was unrelated to the original text.

If Samsung wants to censor its AI tools, that is fine. But please clearly state that the content moderation will be very severe before we spend our money on these almost useless products.

PS: Here is a clear example. yy is the name of the newly elected president of the United States. I am not allowed to write the name.

Yea, i wouldn't use it if AI doesn't let users express freely without censorship or bias.

Did the AI replace the normal grammar checker, or were you specifically and deliberately using the AI feature?  Just curious, as I see no rational reason to use AI for anything at all and I would want to make sure that any future device I have would make using AI optional.

English is not my native language, so I used AI to check the grammar of my text and get suggestions. This was supposed to be one of the system's advantages. The point is, it will not help you if it thinks that your ideas are "inappropriate" or it may change the message's content.

Yes, I get it, but would Google translate be just as effective? Also, a suggestion does not have to be taken, as long as the AI is not preventing you from making your own changes. For example, being able to delete "a controversial figure" from the correction.

Also, you realize that AI is a work n prgess, and like a toddler, learns from repetitive correction.

I agree; it is wonderful technology taking its first steps.

Indeed, one can correct the text AI provides, but it is worrisome that it tends to have political biases already. What I find even worse is that it decides not to help you if it considers your text inappropriate, especially if it considers almost everything inappropriate.

Using Google Translate is an option but Samsung should be transparent and clearly state that they will use a very strict content moderation in their AI systems. In that case, one is free to buy another phone, like a Pixel. I bought this phone largely for its AI capabilities, and now I discover it doesn't let me do much.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

They must use the same AI in these forums, as many times it won't accept a post because there's an "unacceptable" word...and all words are normal, non-controversial and non-triggering; then we have to guess which word, because it won't tell you.

I just tried to say the new president's name several times and was told there was server problems. Yet I was allowed to say Joe Biden
