yesterday in
Samsung Apps and ServicesI just installed a new samsung phone and I was frustated on how I could not see the Samsung dictionary as I have on my other devices. The instructions on how to see it are actually in a comment by the developer in the comments on the Galaxy Store, but you have to scroll a long way down to see it.
The instuctions are:
- Install the Dictionary for Samsung from the Galaxy Store
- Open the Samsung Internet browser
- Go to any normal page (try https://www.cnet.com for something quick)
- Select a word
- In the context menu that appears, click on the three dots (.) to the right
- If you cannot see Dictionary as an option, click on Manage apps
- If you cannot see Dictionary as an option, select it to turn it on
- Now, with the word selected, tap on Dictionary in the menu
- (If you still cannot see Dictionary in the menu, go to step 6 and turn it off and on again)
- The Dictionary app should now start and ask you to install the specific languages you want
- After all that... the Dictionary app will now be visible as a normal app and you are back in business!!
It appears to be a long process, but it is really quick and works every time.
I hope this helps others in the same situation as I was.
