Samsung Apps and ServicesThis morning I woke up and turned on my tv to realize that there is no Samsung TV plus app. It used to always be the first thing that would open automatically, the first app in the Smart Selection. It literally is GONE. I have never had an app just disappear like that, more specifically the own company’s app for their free provided tv service which is WHY I purchased their TV. Let’s fix this Samsung. Please and Thank You

Samsung Apps and ServicesDitto for me! I spent many hours today searching the internet and trying different things before I came here to open a support ticket and end up in the user community first.
I made sure there was no software update to do. I did a smart hub reset. I did a total factory reset. I found the secret way to get into technical / engineering menu and made sure smart tv option was enabled. I did a total reset again from the engineering menu. None of that worked.
I also tried opening up a movie from the promos / ads, and it asked me to install Samsung TV. Click on it, nothing happens. App is not available to download either.
After all that I assumed there was some software update that removed the service overnight as I saw some posts related to that in the past searching google (different / older models). That made zero sense to me since I have it on my phone, can stream it from a browser etc. So I came here before calling Samsung or trying to open a support ticket.
I saw plenty of hits on google about people wanting to disable it, but I like it / use it as it is in my home office that has streaming only. So I hope this gets corrected within a day or two.

Samsung Apps and ServicesSame, not happy if this is permanent. This is the primary reason we purchased a Samsung TV.

Samsung Apps and ServicesSo let me understand this: People had an application installed on a television they own. Samsung removed that application without any notification or permission. How is that not breaking and entering and robbery. They certainly can stop the app from connecting to their servers. They can stop supporting the app but Samsung GAVE me the app and it was installed on my device, how did they enter my house (or enter my TV) to remove it without any type of trespass? I'd sure like to see where in the terms and conditions, they have permission to repossess that software.
