Samsung Apps and Services@userDwqHi094f5 It sounds like you're unfamiliar with Samsung or Androi phones in general. Your autn's Samsung phone should already have Samsung Weather installed, which is a simple and usable weather app. If it is not already on her home screen (or one of her home screens), swipe up then scroll through the pages of apps to find Weather. You can long-press that app icon and drag it to her home screen as a shortcut. Alternatively, if she is looking for a widget that will show current and forcast weather conditions without launching an app, long-press a blank space on a home page, select Widgets, then scroll to Weather and drag one of the widget options. Sorry if this is lower level than youare looking for. Otherwise, as @LongHiker said, there are lots of alternative weather apps in the Google Play Store or in the Galaxy Store.

Samsung Apps and Services@userDwqHi094f5 To get any weather app, visit the Google Play store, search on Weather. Pick your favorite and download.
