Lately I got a message from norton 360 which is a anti virus telling me that I had a app that had a malware but it was called QTR and I never installed it and for no reason I can't find it in my apps so can someone tell me what this app is and if it's safe?

If Norton found it to be malware, have Norton quarantine it or remove it. I suggest quarantine, as if it is a mistaken positive and is actually a necessary component, you will find out right away and you can unquarantine it.

Just found the exact same thing today, same file size. All I could do was force quit. Disable button wasn't selectable and can't see a way to delete the extension or quarantine.

Found the same thing with Avast.  The only form of resolution is removal.  I didn't try it since what I've found is that it's associated with  the qualcomm chips data collection.

I can't even find the file to remove and disable isn't an option. Ive been looking and the cache has added small amounts a few times

Im having the same issue, and no one seems to know what it is, what kind of malware it is. I can’t get rid of it, my antivirus apps can’t see it, all except for AVG. This is the only forum I’ve seen talk about it so far as well. I need to know what to do, and what it could have possibly gotten to, I just hope someone on here knows.
