Hello, everyone!

I'm having an issue with Samsung Continuity Service on my Galaxy Book 360, which runs Windows 11 24H2. Every time I try to use Multi Control, a pop-up appears saying that Samsung Continuity Service needs to be updated. However, when I click Update, it takes me to the Microsoft Store, where it says the app is already installed ā€” there's no option to update or reinstall.

Hereā€™s what Iā€™ve done so far:

  1. Uninstalled Samsung Continuity Service using PowerShell.
  2. Reinstalled it from the Microsoft Store.
  3. Cleared the Microsoft Store cache using wsreset.exe.
  4. Checked for updates in both the Microsoft Store and Device Care.
  5. Tried using PowerShell commands to repair the app, but the commands get stuck.
  6. Manually checked for Samsung-related files in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps and AppData, but the issue persists.

Despite all this, the update prompt keeps appearing when I enable Multi Control, and the Microsoft Store still shows the app as installed.

I'm not sure if this is a version mismatch or some sort of system cache issue, but Iā€™ve hit a wall with troubleshooting.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to force an update or fully remove and reinstall Samsung Continuity Service would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your help!

PS

Iā€™ll stick around to provide any extra details if needed. Thanks again!

Which edition of Windows are you using (Home, Pro, etc.), and what is the model number?

Can you try reinstalling the Samsung Continuity Driver with Samsung Update?

In my case, it doesn't even allow me to use this app; it says I have to use Samsung Device Care, and it doesn't give me the option.

Same issue here. I just bought a Galaxy Book4 with Snapdragon X plus. Good setup and happy so far but a few minor issues have shown up. I am updating my Tab S9+ and S24 Ultra devices plus the laptop just to make sure I didn't have issues there. I do like the "multi control" function. I have 2 external monitors, laptop screen, Tab S9+ and S24 Ultra all connected at once. My S24 seems to drop off / won't reconnect but everything else works.
"Second Screen" utility is pretty cool and seems to work well if you want an additional "windows" monitor. 20250115_115148.jpg
