we do write on our little magentic kitchen board the grocery items (like many other people) that we need to purchase on our next trip. It is still easier to just write it on the board - especially when hands are dirty. We take a picture of the list and use it for the grocery shopping.
What would be super, if the AI detects photo as a grocery list and present an option (like other editing options) to keep screen on while on that photo. It is inconvenient when the screen constantly goes off and one has to repeatedly unlock the phone - often with a cart and a child.
