It's not stable. I've had my mytablet for 2 years working on it without a thought or care in the world. I downloaded what I thought was just a normal security update, and it was actually a One UI 6.1.1 update. I wish I could roll it back because this is really interruptive. As far as trying to get work done, I can't even work on the tablet anymore, it's not possible. I do graphics, so I'm doing my normal editing, saving and working within gallery to see if the images, and find images. They don't save or they disappear after saving.

Here are the bugs.

1. Gallery it's creating duplicate folders. One folder had 900 images in it. Do you think I want that duplicated? I think not. I have over 50 folders in gallery and I keep a very organized file system.

2. Gallery keeps merging my folders and images. I found the settings to stop that. Add, I never turned it on but it messed up my file system. The damage is already done. I have to go back and redo it. It's annoying.

3. Edited pictures disappear. When you have over 50 folders, and you have it well organized and the gallery program is merging folders and images. Plus, the images are not showing up in the recents. They may show up for a short period time in the recents, and then they disappear. But that is not guaranteed. So I'm looking through all my files and folders trying to find these images, eating up time i could be producing. I don't even know where they are sometimes or i never find them. It's just a nightmare. This is just a nightmare of an app. I might have to go 3rd party for managing images.

4. Widgets disappear, theming sometimes works. Everything has to be micromanaged on my tablet. The smart select tool looks like something you would find on a $150 tablet. What is that blurred **bleep** that comes up when you open it up? A dotted or solid line would have been better. My tablet went from a great experience to a horrible one. Samsung fix your software.

Alright. Apps and programs that use a lot of space can be deleted, or you can try using them much less. Also, programs and apps that take longer to load can overload your tablet.
Hope this helps. šŸ˜Š

I'm not having any of those problems. I have a 512gb microSD card in it. I'm using 25% of my internal storage. And I test software so I know good from bad. I'm also a triple boot Linux user. I have the same apps on all my devices. My old Note20U is outperforming this tablet after One UI 6.1.1. With the gallery app, I'm working without a web connection. The apps I use don't require one.

I switched over to my 360. Sometimes in laptop and now for tablet work. The S8+ is too buggy.

Okay. Sorry I didn't helped. If your tab became really horrible, you can look for a new one. I recommend Tab S9 FE on Amazon for $450. If that's too expensive, then I recommend Tab A9+ (on Amazon) for $220.

No, I would be looking at another manufacturer. Samsung's newest tablets will get 7 years of these possible buggy software updates. Not spin the wheel on that one. The S8+ gets 5 years, I believe of these nightmare software releases. I'm not their test dummy. I work a certain way and can't afford to just reset my tablet. I might lose something vital. I do backups, but it's my settings I have highly tweaked. My 360 does the tablet work now.
