Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G can't create user or guest accounts

My tablet doesn't successfully let me create other user accounts or launch in guest mode. Is this normal?

I super understand the need for guest accounts. I couldn’t live without my kids having their own profiles. Let’s get this situated for you as soon as we can.

 

Just in case you are missing a step when creating a new account.

From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
Navigate: Settings  > Accounts and backup > Users.
From the 'Users and profiles' section, tap Add user or profile.
Users can only be added by the Owner account (the first account used to access the device).


To add a full access user account:
This account type allows users to access their own apps and content.
Tap User.
Tap OK to confirm.
Enter the new user name then tap OK.
Allow a few seconds for the tablet to create the account.
If desired, tap Switch to User Name then tap Set up now.
If you choose 'Not now' the setup process will automatically begin the first time you sign in to the user account.
If applicable, set up your device.


To add a restricted access user account:
This account type allows users limited access to apps and content.
Tap User (restricted profile).
Allow a few seconds for the tablet to create the account.
If prompted, tap Set up screen lock.
Enter the new user name then tap OK.
Allow a few seconds for the tablet to create the account.
From the 'Allow apps and content' screen, configure the restrictions as desired then tap the Back icon (upper-left) twice to return to the Users screen.
Turn on to allow access to an app or turn off to restrict access.

 

The system cache partition stores temporary system data. It's supposed to allow the system to access apps more quickly and efficiently, but sometimes things get cluttered and outdated, so a periodic cache clearing can help make the system run more smoothly. 
- When the Android logo displays, release all three keys.
- An ‘Installing system update’ message will show for 30 – 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
- Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
- Press Power key to select.
- Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
- When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
- Press the Power key to restart the device.
Your device will take a little time to boot up after the cache partition is wiped off of its contents as it will rebuild or recreate those caches. Don’t be alarmed if the device gets stuck on the logo for a minute or two after this just don’t turn it off so that what was deleted will be replaced successfully. So, wait for your device to become active. Don’t worry, this procedure is very easy and safe to do. You won’t damage your device just by wiping the cache partition.

 

Have you tried running the device in Safe Mode?
Press and hold the Power button until the Power off menu appears then release.
Touch and hold Power off until the Safe mode prompt appears then release.
To confirm, tap Safe mode.
The process may take up to 30 seconds to complete.
Upon reboot, “Safe mode” should appear in the lower-left of the home screen.
Check for the problem.
If the issue goes away on safe mode, turn safe mode off by pulling down the notification shade from the top and tapping on the notification. This should allow you to check if the issue returns. If it does, you’ll need to identify the bad app.

 

Lastly, if none of the previous troubleshooting helped, a factory reset may be in order. Only perform a factory data reset only if absolutely necessary as it removes all data including:
Contacts
Email accounts
System and app data
App settings
Downloaded apps
Media (Music, pictures and videos, etc.)

Note: If a pattern, PIN, etc. is or has ever been set up on this device, Google account sign-in may be required during initial setup.

 

Ensure the device is powered off.
Press and hold the Power / Side and Volume Up buttons until the Android Recovery screen appears (about 10-15 seconds) then release both buttons.
A blue screen with 'Installing system update' may display, followed by a screen with 'No command'; continue to wait until the recovery screen appears.
From the Android Recovery screen, select Wipe data / factory reset.
Use the Volume buttons to cycle through available options and the Power / Side button to select.
Select Factory data reset.
Allow several seconds for the factory data reset to complete.
Select Reboot system now.
Allow several minutes for the reboot process to complete.
If applicable, set up your device.
