Is it possible to have the S-pen tools icon visible while the pen is in the charging dock, in order to be able to use the tools with a second pen?

Unfortunately, it is not possible. The Air Command menu only opens when the pen is undocked.

It's very frustrating that this is the case. Perhaps you can make the option to display the floating icon permanently available in your next firmware update, please?
