I just noticed that when I set Google Discover as the media added to Home Screen, the story thumbnails do not display properly.

Rotating back to landscape orientation fixes the view to where I can see the story cards from Google Discover, which is only one of two options offered in "Add media page to Home Screen".

Try a reset by holding down Power and Vol Down until it reboots.
