Lost the ability to work between multiple windows with Samsung My Files

What has happened to My Files? This last update removed the ability to work between multiple windows. Busted it down to walking paths and folders for every move or copy needed. That one feature made My Files the most productive file management app out there. IT MUST COME BACK!

On the one device that managed to sneak the update through, I simply removed updates and reset the app to the factory, and it worked. On that device, it is back the way it was. I will not update until this is fixed. I hope they don't force it through in a bigger update. Good luck.

How exactly did you do this i can't figure out a solution

Go to apps in settings and find the My Files app. Click it, then select the three dots in the top righthand corner. Select uninstall updates. It will restore it to the factor installed version. That version is better than the new and works just fine.

What?? I click the 3 dots in the top right corner and nothing saying about uninstall updates. Please help

Yep, when they did the 6.1.1 update, the three dot menu and consequently the uninstall updates were removed. Absolutely, bonkers! FYI, all the one-star ratings that were starting to outnumber the other rating have been reset and no longer show in the app store. They are not concerned about our wants and needs, that is for sure!

You're telling me this update got rid of that mechanic too?! All because of a single change in how you move files now. That's wonderful, I love having less features in my applications.

Well if you do the 6.1.1 update the change is forced. Without updating the app in the app store it will be changed anyway. What a shame! Completely ruined it!

For anyone looking for a work around this horrible idea, here you go. The drag and drop feature still works between open windows of My Files. I simply open at least two My File windows and set one to the destination folder, then drag and drop the files from the other My Files window. It will create a copy of them there, then I simply delete the ones in the old location. Yes, a pain, but less of pain than the stupid little pop up window which doesn't even show your favorite folders. What a mess!

Uninstall SMF in Google Playstore and  it will still work and like before.

I am starting to think this MY FILES change is part of a much broader deal with Google. There are too many things happening at once; dropping Samsung Messages for Google Messages, Google website warnings that Samsung Internet browser is unsupported, this obviouse My Files degradation and no reasonable response from Samsung, Samsung Pass not working with Samsung Internet and unable to login using previously stored info, etc... Next up,,,, Samsung Calendar, Samsung Reminders, Samsung Email, Samsung Store, etc... If this happens, if they continue to ditch their eco system for Googles eco, I will never buy another Samsung product. I have invested years of time and money in Samsung's ecosystem and if they throw it away,,, they are throwing away my time and money and I will never forgive them. I will be done with all that is Samsung!

This MY FILES issue is a huge problem for anyone who uses it daily, all day long, especially in DEX mode. What good is it to be able to have multiple instances of My Files open with this stupid pop up window thing?

This is my time you are wasting! Do you hear me Samsung!!! Do you even care, at all?

Sorry to all that had to read and endure my rant, but GOOD GOD this is just dumb.
