S pen says ready but won't work

I just got my S6 lite today and the s pen will not work and it says ready under the settings. There is no option to reset the pen either and I'm looking for some help. If I buy a new pen will it be able to connect with this one still on here?

Sorry but the Tab S6 lite does not support S Pen air actions.

Never said anything about air action. The pen as a whole does not work, I'm just trying to draw

Have you tried rebooting the tablet?

Have you tried nothing or into safe mode? If it works while in bored in safe mode, the issue is caused by some 3rd party software installed on the device. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/

Have you tried running the diagnostic test in the Members app?

I have rebooted it, went into safe mode and followed those steps. And I did the test. Everything is good so it's looking like time for a new pen

If you just bought the Tablet, I would return it since it isn't working properly
