Why doesn't Live Caption support Korean? New Samsung Tab S9+, OneUI 6.1.1

Brand new expensive tablet.

My software OS is the latest/newest.

The Samsung website says Korean *is* supported for "Live Caption", however the download list for languages does not have Korean listed as a supported language.

You would think Korean would be the *first* language supported on a Korean tablet.

I have a Google Pixel phone that has supported Korean for the last 3 years. The download list for "Live Caption" on my Pixel has many languages supported.

What gives?

@trebor68 It looks like this might be a limitation only on the Tablets. My Tab S10+, like your S9+, doesn't have Korean.

But my S23 Ultra, Fold 6, and Flip 6 all have Korean as an option. They are all running 6.1.1.

Weird. I guess it's something they (Samsung) aren't aware of. This is just a downloadable software language pack, not a hardware or software issue. If it works on an old phone, it would work on a new tablet with the newest OS.

Thanks for the reply... at least I'm not the only one seeing this.

@trebor68 it is kinda weird that it is not offered on tablets. The language packs are downloaded from Google servers, not Samsung.

@LongHiker I wonder if it is a Google thing, the language packs for live caption are downloadeded from Google servers not Samsung servers.

Live Caption is a Google product. So the distribution of the packs would probably be from their servers.

Someone at Samsung/Google needs to click on some check boxes and enable the tablets.
