Washers and Dryers

Washer model number WA55A73000AE barely 6 months old will not spin fast to dry out clothes. Sometimes have to dry the clothes with two cycles in the dryer. Compared to the whirlpool we owned previously, sounded like a jet taking off and spun the clothes so dry you could almost wear them.

We have the current firmware update, spin speed is max and there are no error codes.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there, I can certainly understand your frustration with your washer not spinning out all the excess water properly. I have a few things that may help with this. The first is the following link to our general troubleshooting guide for what to do when the washer is not spinning properly.

https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01000997/

I'd also like to provide the following link to our guide on washer load sizes. It is very important not to overload the washer, as this can cause many problems including spinning issues.

Once the troubleshooting steps are completed, and you've verified the washer is not overloaded, if it is still not spinning properly, the unit will require service. There are a couple options here we can take based on your warranty status.
If you’re in the one-year manufacturer’s warranty, please gather together the full model and serial number of your unit, and have ready your name, street address, 2 phone numbers (Best contact, alternative number), email, and place of purchase. Provide this information to an agent, in one of the following options below:
1.) Reach out to a Moderator directly, by selecting our name and the message option. When messaging please use a link to this thread in addition to the info above.
2.) Reach out to us on Facebook or Twitter. Please provide the same info as above, as well as the link to your thread.
3.) You can also contact 1-800-726-7864, if you’d like to speak with a live agent about this situation.
4.) Last, if you wish to speak with a live agent and don’t want to call in, you can reach out to our Live Chat team.
If you’re out of the one-year manufacturer’s warranty:
1. You can utilize this link to locate an authorized service center in your area to obtain estimates for repairs: http://www.Samsung.com/us/support/service/location or reach out to any local repair shop.
2. The other option, would be a replacement of the unit. Samsung.com offers amazing deals on different models that may be to your liking, check out those deals here: https://www.samsung.com/us/washers/

Usually it's due to out of balance- sometimes not enough clothes. We'd toss in a few towels to help. Noticeable when trying to situate clothes for final spin and takes a long time. Extra stuff would help.

I understand but none of those scenarios fit. IE 2 king size blankets is the most noticeable affected. Also, full load of mixed clothes causes the effect as well. I have watched the spin cycles before and positively not out of balance.
