What is this connector on back of DVE45T60 dryer for?

Does anyone know what the connection in this picture is used for?  It is not shown in the paper manual or the downloaded manual from the Samsung support website.

This was wat i found it has something to do with securing dryer cover to machine

Thanks for that information.  With that info, I was able to find a few more tidbits.  It appears that it is for a cover to where a diagnostic device can be attached.

Here is a image showing the inside lit up better and you can see some electrical contacts lending credence to the diagnostic device theory.
