When I receive voicemails, there is no notification that a voicemail has been received and there is no written record of the number that called the voicemail. How do I turn these on? I checked--all permissions are currently turned on.

Try clearing the cache and data from the voicemail app. This will reset it. Then, check the permissions. And for the notification settings, make sure you enable pop-ups, You can also try checking The Do Not Disturb settings to make sure you can receive the voicemail notifications

To receive voicemail notifications and see a record of who called, try these steps on your Samsung Galaxy A54:

1. Check Voicemail App Settings:

Open the Phone app.

Tap the three dots in the upper-right corner, go to Settings, then select Voicemail.

Ensure Notifications are turned on. You may also want to set the Notification sound and make sure the notification is set to "Alert" instead of "Silent."

2. Verify App Notifications:

Go to Settings > Apps.

Find the Voicemail app (or the app provided by your carrier for managing voicemails).

Tap Notifications and make sure all types of notifications are enabled, including any that say "Voicemail" or "Missed Call."

3. Clear Cache for the Voicemail App:

Go to Settings > Apps > Voicemail.

Tap Storage, then Clear cache. This may help if the app is having notification issues.

4. Enable Visual Voicemail (if supported):

Some carriers provide Visual Voicemail services, which show a record of recent callers. If your carrier supports this, you can enable it in the Voicemail section under Phone settings.

You may need to contact your carrier to activate this service if it's not already available.

5. Contact Your Carrier:

Sometimes, voicemail notifications rely on carrier services, especially if they send notifications over their network. Contact your carrier to ensure that voicemail notifications are properly enabled on your account.

After verifying these settings, try calling your phone and leaving a voicemail to see if notifications are now showing up. If the issue persists, your carrier may need to reset voicemail notifications on their end.
