Always on display is not working A52 5g

I've noticed lately that my always on display is not working.  I can go into settings and enable it,  back to lock screen where it will appear for a sec than disappear,  back to settings and it's disabled again and then repeat....etc.  Even when charging info on lock screen is turned off,  it's the same result.  Anybody else have this issue? Thanks.

very simple question just to check... do you have tap to show or always on? the AOD isn't "always on" by default... the default is tap to show the AOD.

can you share a screenshot of the setting for AOD? what is the phone's model number?

I've tried tap to show, always on, as scheduled and have tried them all without the battery charging info turned on. In the tap mode it will not appear at all even if I tap the screen and with always and scheduled it only appears for a sec then vanishes. It used to work solidly on a schedule before the 12 update. Thanks

What is the device model number and software version (settings > about phone > software information > build number (last 4 digits)) ?

wondering if there is a battery saver setting enabled that is preventing the AOD from staying on

Nothing in battery settings to prevent AOD from functioning. A52 5g 12 4.0 CVD4

Funny thing though, I did a restart and for now its functioning! Don't know why I didn't try it before. Will post back if it doesn't continue working, but for now 👍
