A Series & Other MobileWhen I try to take a picture through a glass window with my A52, sometimes the camera focuses on the subject outside but sometimes it focuses on the glass itself. How can I stop this?
Google searches on this topic refer to turning off autofocus tracking (or something like that) but my phone settings don't have that.

A Series & Other Mobile1. Tap to Focus:
While using the camera, tap directly on the subject outside the window that you want to focus on. This manually overrides the automatic focus and should help you focus on your intended subject rather than the glass.
2. Use Pro Mode (if available):
If your A52 has a Pro Mode (or Manual Mode), you can manually adjust the focus settings to lock onto the subject outside. You can set the focus distance to infinity to help with distant subjects.
3. Get Closer to the Glass:
Try getting as close to the glass as possible. When the camera is very close to the glass, it’s less likely to focus on the window and more likely to focus on the subject outside.
4. Use a Different Camera App:
Some third-party camera apps may give you more control over focus settings. Apps like Open Camera can allow more customization, including manual focus adjustments, which may help in this situation.
5. Clean the Glass:
Make sure the glass window is clean. Smudges or reflections can confuse the camera and cause it to focus on the glass rather than the outside subject.
6. Focus Lock:
Some camera apps offer a focus lock feature (often available by holding down on the focus area for a couple of seconds). Check if your default camera app has this option, which can help maintain focus on the subject you initially tapped on.
These tips should help you get clearer shots through the glass by preventing the camera from focusing on it.
