If you have AT&T version you may need to have active AT&T  sim service to be able to update the firmware.

Try Samsung Smart Switch. There is diy firmware flash up as well at samfw.com , if your interested in DIY.

Trust me I did Oden and Smart switch, but it would just corrupt the OS and need to be reinstalled.
