I can see all files on my PC for my S20+. The phone screen is dead. Can I simply move all files and folders to my PC, then copy them on my new phone? Not sure if there are any system files that also need to be transferred.

Thanks.

Apps won't transfer only personal data like Pictures music and stuff like that if you want to transfer your apps to your new device you would have to login to google and Samsung accounts and go to the Play store tap the profile pictures and Manage Apps and devices and re install them since you can't do smartswitch

Thanks. Will do.

I'm trying to get past the 2-step verification. It says it sends a code to my number, but there is none. I assume with the same SIM card from my old phone is used, I should get such message on the new phone, right?

[will make a separate post if best)

Thanks.

If your phone was on auto backup, you would be able to restore your backup on the mew phone, complete with your apps and settings. If you copied your personal data to your PC, you can move that back if it didn't come down in the restoration. Yes, if you use the same number with your new phone, the code will come. Messages go by your phone number, not your phone. If you keep the same carrier, you can just pop the sim in the new phone.

So why am I not getting that code?

I will set up another google account and see if that works.

I couldn't back up my data anymore because my 1 Drive and account were full. I guess I have to re-install apps and hope they link to my data. I think Voice did retain the data associated with it when I re-install the Voice eapp.

The code will go to the device that was registered when I get a code it will ask me if I want it too my Tablet or Phone.

You can go to Samsung.com

Click on your profile picture in the top right

Select Samsung Account

Security

Click the > beside of 2FA

I would suggest using the backup code that it lists

Looks like my contacts have not been able to be transferred. Is there a special file for those?
