On the messages app, I used to see "delivered" and "read" when online and the text bubble was blue. I would also see the dots when someone was typing. Now, it is like the only option is the offline texting, the text bubble is green, I see no 3 dots when someone is texting me, and I see no "delivered" or "read" at the bottom of my sent texts. I don't even have an option to enable this in messages settings. Anyone know how to get it back?
Samsung has two default messaging apps: Samsung Messages and Google Messages.
I can only assume that you are using the Samsung Messages app and your carrier does not allow RCS messaging or that you don't have it turned on. In either case, contact your carrier for assistance. RCS is a carrier specific feature.
I am currently using two sims one hard and one is an esim.When I use my AT&T SIM I get the "delivered" and "read" notifications. I Do not get them using the T- mobile Sim. I believe it's a carrier thing and not a setting. I am definitely not positive though but it is what I experience.
