My galaxy A 12 was not showing whether and I turned on location, so heartbreaking 💔

You shouldn't need location, on top right you should just be able to push + and find location unless you want it to track where you go.

But you can try and click the widget or restart the phone

You have also multiply locations if your planning to take trips, home, work...

I use my location and work in case I need a raincoat
