Responding to a text with just an emoji

How can you respond to a text with just an emoji on their text rather than sending a whole another text With the Samsung Galaxy a 14.?

Good morning @tarchi88, I hope you're doing well.

To respond to a text with an emoji which is called a reaction, you need to have the Google Messenger app enabled as your default messenger. The next thing you want to do is open a message thread from someone you're texting and press and hold on the boarder of their message bubble. You will notice the emoji menu pop up of emojis you can react with.
