Text messages disappearing?

I need help I don't know what happened all my text messages from own phone number went away I be sending myself info of important things and videos. But all of them are gone I need help to restore them

If you are using Samsung messages, I believe there is a trash bin you can see if you can recover from. If you are using Google messages, you may have accidentally archived them. Check the archive.

Same exactly thing just happened to me. I send myself reminders and recipes and exercises and whatnot and they're all missing now

Maybe you guys should be sending yourself emails instead/as well or making a note.
