I have the Flex Model # NP950QCG-K01US. I recently took the back off to see why one of the thunderbolts stopped working. While in there, I put new thermal paste on the processor. Ever since putting it back together,  the fan runs non-stop. laptop can be off and it still runs at what i'm assuming is full speed. I know it isn't over heating, the bottom where the proccessor is cool to the touch. I just took the back off today. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the fan and the battery, neither made a difference. My dad is thinking that I may have damaged the thermometer or whatever is used to check the temp of the processor. What's more annoying is there is no way to control the fan or check the temp in BIOS like a normal computer. Anyone run into this before? If you're going to say something obvious like check the vent or its overheating, don't, thats all been checked.

Definitely sounds like the computer is getting a false report of the temperature. Your dad could be very right and you could have destroyed the thermometer that's built in causing it to most likely fuse the two leads together causing a closed loop basically which would put your fans on full power all the time, forever. I'm not sure if they sell replacement parts like the built-in thermometer or if it's even replaceable at all but you have to be more careful, do tons of research before you ever open something hardware wise and change things. It pays off in the end. Good luck
