And when you say, doesn't respond, do you mean that the inner screen is blank when you unfold it?
Have you tried booting in safe mode? If the sound works while booted in safe mode, then the issue is caused by a 3rd party app. To boot in safe mode, https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/
