flip 6 notification sound not working

My notifications sound stop working. I hear nothing when I get a text message or calandar reminder. I also get no sounds when I'm switching the notification tone. only ringtone works. I've already tried factory resetting my phone and it still doesn't work. Anyone else having this issue?

Do you have a Samsung Galaxy Watch ??? 

It think there's a setting that you can mute your phone notification sounds. 

Don't use smart watches so I don't have much experience with them.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch has the option to turn off  notifications on phone:
