Samsung Buds 2 not working for media

Ineed help please. 

I have an S24 ultra phone & samsung buds 2. When I first got me s24 ultra, the buds 2 paired & they worked fine together. Now I can't get them to work correctly, specifically with youtube or my mp3 music. 
I've done my due diligence: the phone & ear buds are charged. I've unpaired & paired again several times. The buds work for calls, but not for listening to other things. I'm really frustrated with this. 
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I reset the wifi/Bluetooth settings. The buds seem to work OK with most things, but NOT with youtube. I don't know why, they worked with YT a month ago. I'm a big YT watcher.

Thank you for updating us on the results. Do you have any data or battery restrictions set for the YouTube app either within the Phone optimization settings, or in the YouTube app itself?

There is also a Send Feedback option in the YouTube app if this is not just isolated to the using YouTube.
