Gallery doesn't show recent photos

Using a Note10+ The Gallery app is only showing one photo. When I connect the phone to the computer, it shows hundreds of photos. In the Windows folder Phone>DCIM>Camera I see the most recent photo at 12:59, followed by 6 photos 12:09 and 12:08, followed by 130 photos from 2 days ago and before. The one photo that the Gallery app is showing isn't even in the Camera folder!

I'm not especially concerned about the missing photo, however I would like to have the app show the photos from earlier.

@SweetTasha can you post a screenshot of your Gallery screen?

It sounds like you may be in an album instead of at the general Pictures area.

You may want to make sure your in all photos and not just camera or another memory.

After taking another look, I see that the Gallery app shows a line of thumbnail images at the bottom of its display. I can scroll back and forth and see about 20 of the most recent photos.
