Visual voicemail has no transcript?

I am on Firsnet and have been for years. Used to be able to read my voicemails with the Visual Voicemail app. Now it's just audio and has been for awhile. 

What's going on.

@DragonClaw Typical visual voicemail apps do not provide transcription. I've never seen it in the default app on Samsung devices. This is one of the reasons I use a Google Voice number as my voicemail service. Provides transcripts and audio versions of every message.

Then what's the visual aspect of VVM?

It shows your messages in a file browser type of interface. So you can access the messages in any order without going through a phone menu.

So, visual voicemail is actually a service of your carrier, not of the phone. Not unless you have an iPhone that is. And from what I can see you have at&t, their Visual Voicemail app it is kind of Hit or Miss in my experience. It doesn't always work on every model.
