Does it cost to install the GroupMe app from the Playstore?

Is there a price for the GroupMe app, for me to install it from the Play store?

You would need to check in the playstore if it has a price listed to download or if it says free to download

If it says install it’s free you only have to pay if it has a price listed

Tried downloading, & it asks me for a credit card #, paypal... Oh well. We gave it a shot. No biggie. 🙂

It also does not say IN APP PURCHASES. Which is required if extra services are paywalled.

GroupMe is a free app service. I've used it for years.

I never heard of the app, so I downloaded it and set up an account, it did not ask me for any financial info. It says its free to use, so I don't see why they would ask for that info. Are you sure you downloaded the correct app and not a similar knock off?
