I just swapped from Samsung messages to Google messages on my s20 phone Android. I'm used to when you send a text message from Samsung messages it says delivered and then when they read it. It says read. Is this option available with Google messages? If so, how do I turn all that on? Thank you for your time. I greatly appreciate your help. Chris
Samsung Messages can also use RCS if both your carrier and the recipient's carrier have RCS texting and both parties have it on. I have RCS with AT&T, which they call Advanced Messaging.
I prefer Samsung Messages because it allows me to customize the background for each chat group, which keeps me on track when swapping between chats while texting.
To my knowledge it is not available at this time because some carriers do not have rcs messaging enabled. You might try looking in settings for that in Google messages.
