Some carriers won't allow over-the-air OS updates over mobile data. you have to have Wi-Fi in that case. Assuming the OP means OS updates.

Hey @Samsung_Khe3fbk I hope you're doing well this morning. 

Depending on how big the software update is and your carrier that's pushing it out to your device; some carriers require that you connect to Wi-Fi to download it even if you have an unlimited data plan. 

You can try to set your app update settings to download over data instead of Wi-Fi in the Google playstore settings but software updates are a different story generally because of how big they usually are.
