Have a brand new Samsung Galaxy S10+, bought the unlocked version right here from Samsung.

However since I have had it, I have never been able to get it to connect to 4G.

I am using the exact same sim I had in my S9+ that had and showed 4G.

All setting are completely the same, as well as have tried to cycle and do every trick to get it to switch over.

My card will get and show 4G in any other mobile device, just not this brand new one.

I get and show LTE all day...

But just cannot get it to switch or show 4G?!?

Is anyone else having this issue?

Same here you will have to flash att firmware to the unlocked version because you dont get those options you can Google search it and once you flash it you should be fine

Which carrier, did you verify APN settings, and does data function on 2G/3G?

Data problems are known on Sprint. Some users have also noted network instability on TMO/Metro PCS. However, since release my S10+ did not exhibit these bugs. Data speeds are simply intolerable.

I'm on AT&T and yes, all setting are the same and verified.

I can pop sim out, put in my S8 or S9+ and have immediate 4G.

Have the exact same setting in my S10+ and sit on LTE like nothing.

Everything functions,  just feel like it is not at it's full potential.

Samsung seems to think this is fine and it is as it should be.

But why doesn't it go to 4G if it is built to do so?

ATT usually provisions phones for LTE and enhanced services such as VoLTE. I'm not familiar with their BYOD policy regarding the former. You may need to call them to get the IMEI added to your account, otherwise the phone should work on 2G/3G.

Like I said, all of my other unlocked Samsung mobiles have worked flawlessly with my sim.

I can put my sim in any other mobile and immediately get 4G.

So it is not an issue with sim or AT&T, it is a mobile issue with device.

Like I said, everything works.

Just do not understand the lack of 4G.

Finally an answer,  I was wondering about that.

Will you get the bloat with it?

Thank you for the valid response.

Did it change your signal or anything?

I'm using metro by T-Mobile, if I take it down there and have them flash it so I can get the 4G LTE, will that include all the usual metro by T-Mobile bloatware? Will my phone have to bear the load of that? Thank you for your time.

If you haven't tried this yet, go to settings, general management, reset, rest network settings. It resets the network connection between device and tower
