S10 Understanding Speech Punctuation

When I try to speak when texting or emaiIing I want my S10 to understand punctuation. It used to but it doesn't anymore period. For example when I save the word period it puts the word period at the end instead of the full stop dot.

It's a homonym, maybe that's why both spelled the same with different meanings, so it may be trying to reduce errors. Under Samsung keyboard option, for suggest text corrections, writing assistant grammar will put green lines under the punctuation areas.

. Or trytext shortcut make a word that will automatically turn into an actual period. Maybe the Google voice will understand?

Go to Settings > General management > Keyboard list and default.

Toggle Samsung Voice Input to off.

Toggle Google Voice Typing to on.

You may need to restart your phone when you're finished.

Your phone should now recognize punctuation better.
