Hi there, and thank you for taking the time to check out my Samsung Members Stars story! I’m Dmitri, though you might know me as Geno71 on the Samsung Members Community, or SPACEMSH over on X and YouTube. I’ve been part of the Samsung Members Community for, well, I’ve honestly lost count, but it’s been many years! Today, I’m proud to support Samsung enthusiasts around the globe as a Samsung Care Ambassador and a Samsung Members Star.
People often ask me, “How does someone become a Samsung Care Ambassador?” . Well, let me share my journey to answer that question. To really tell the story, we need to rewind to the early 2000s. Picture me as a 16-year-old, completely fascinated by electronics, computers, and, most exciting of all, the idea of portable computing. Back then, having a “computer in your pocket” was like science fiction. I used to pore over tech magazines, dreaming of owning a Sony Clié PDA, but as a teenager working my first fast food job, it wasn’t exactly in my budget. So, in 2003, I saved up and bought my very first PDA, the Palm Tungsten E. It wasn’t flashy, but to me, it was magical.
From there, I was hooked. I tinkered, played games, read books, and even sketched with the stylus (I love that we still have the S Pen with our phones!). Over the years, I graduated to Windows Pocket PC devices, then to my first smartphone, the Nokia E61 (fun fact: it didn’t even have a camera!). In 2007, I jumped on the iPhone bandwagon, but everything changed in 2010 with the release of the Samsung Captivate, the U.S. version of the first Samsung Galaxy S. Suddenly, the iPhone felt like a toy, and I knew I’d found my tech home.
Fast-forward 15 years, and Samsung is still my go-to brand. I’ve upgraded my devices every year, currently rocking an S24 Ultra and a Z Fold 6, thanks to Samsung’s incredible trade-in offers. Along the way, I discovered the Samsung Members Community, where I started sharing tips, answering questions, and connecting with other fans. It was the perfect outlet for my passion, and before I knew it, I was invited to join the Samsung Care Ambassadors team.
You might be wondering how you can become a Samsung Members Star / Ambassador. The truth? There’s no secret formula. It’s all about being part of the Community. Share your knowledge, help others, and spread the word about Samsung’s amazing devices and events. That’s what I did. I wasn’t chasing a title, just having fun, and one day, an Ambassador reached out and asked if I wanted to join. That moment marked the beginning of incredible friendships and unforgettable experiences, from attending live Galaxy Unpacked events to participating in feedback sessions that help shape the future of Samsung’s innovations.
And the journey isn’t slowing down! This year, I’m thrilled to be heading to Galaxy Unpacked 2025 and catching up with my Members Stars friends at Samsung Members Connect.
