Phone was working fine, although the screen did have pink/green line down the middle, and then just stopped working. Now screen flashes weirdly, I get a pulsing blue light and even though I've tried charging it, I sometimes get a red light.

Any advice appreciated 👍

Since the phone is 9 years old and had pink and green lines and now flashing it sounds like the screen has finally gave out and needs to be replaced.

That was a common issue with the S7 Edge. Kinda surprised that your S6 still works. You're missing out on so many new features.

Thanks for your replies. I think you have just confirmed what I expected - namely that the screen needs replacing. Amazingly, I did find a chap a few miles away who had an S6 Edge that I could buy for parts, but ultimately we decided against it and put the money and effort into getting and setting up a new phone.

Thanks all
