Samsung messages now don't show read receipts after switching back from Google messages

I recently switched over to Google messages only for one minute, (I did not like them) then switched back over to samsung messages. Now my samsung messages are not showing read/delivered. The other samsung users have theirs turned on. I too have mine turned on. I need help! Samsung agents, and my phone carrier say they either can't fix it or they just don't know.

Right, but what I'm saying is if you want the read/delivered you need RCS

Well if it's important for you to have the read/delivered message then I would use google messages. But if you don't care about having them then use samsung messages

Just looked on another phone and again the options are there without using rcs

Yes, because samsung messages don't have a dedicated RCS option.
