I use it mostly for pics and some personal files.

I, personally, do not use it.  I cannot think of a single reason why I would.  My phone is already secured with a password and I do not ever let anyone have access to it where I cannot see what they are doing with it and what they are looking at.

Same files and photos you want to keep private. Secure folder is an extra layer of security.
