Problems with "Alexa Drop in calls" not ending calls

Is it me or is the Alexa Drop in feature keeps having problems and I must restart my phone to remove the problem and to release the call from Alexa app to my phone app. 

Please explain if able. I use Alexa Drop in to speak with my son each morning before school.

I have no problem ending a drop in call from the Alexa app on my phone. I just hang up like a regular phone call.
