Like what @VerbumVeritum stated, you would need to put your earbuds into pairing mode to connect them to your device.
To turn on your Bluetooth
Navigate to and open Settings on your device and then tap the Switch to turn it on
Be Sure to have your earbuds in pairing mode so they will appear in available device
Once you see your earbuds name, select them to pair them to your device
If you’d like to use Bluetooth headphones or earbuds to answer calls, make sure the audio settings are turned on for your headphones. Otherwise, the output will come through the phone or tablet speaker instead.
