One ui 4.1 update on s21 ultra causes home button and back button to not work

Well I recently updated to one ui 4.1 and I cannot use the home or back button. It was working perfectly fine before the update.

My works took me 2 half hours to fix the problem

This has helped resolve the issue for me as well. I tried everything else that was suggested to but with no resolution. What I did do that resolved the issue was go to Settings-->Apps-->Mobile Services Manager and hit Force Stop, and then went into Storage and Clear Data.

I use S21, since the update last night, Home & back button stopped working. Phone would either freeze or throw black screen and wouldnt let me go any further. 

Mobile services manager seems to be the culprit - removed permissions, cleared cache & data (under storage option), restarted phone. 

Everything works fine now. Thank you to everyone who suggested this solution !

I just installed the latest version on my phone (4.1) and my phone started acting up right after the re-start. I cannot touch the home button and my phone will freeze if I touch it more than once. I tried everything I've found on the internet and nothing works. Seems like everyone is having the same issue.

Ugh these updates. For me its the "recent apps". When I go to the screen it freezes.

Mine doesn't freeze but my recent apps aren't there anymore.

Yeah mine just shows 4 apps. Calculator, Calendar, Settings and Clock. Then it freezes.
