Phone sim card stops work randomly

My sim card stops working at completely random times because my phone hasn't gotten a single **bleep** update since I got it, and so I can't have mobile data during those times. The catch is I can't get updates without a new sim card, so I'm left at a standstill and I'm extremely annoyed. Is there any way this can be fixed? I've tried restarting the phone and resetting network settings but it's just a sim card problem.

If you get a working Sim card it would fix the problem

You have to get a new sim card or esim if your sim is messed up. Thats the only way to fix it would be a new sim

I don't understand why you won't just contact your carrier to get a new sim. It's the easiest thing in the world. And it's the only fix for you. Sounds like you want to blame Samsung for something within your power to correct. Updates come through your carrier, so if you have a non working SIM, you will get no updates.

Same thing happened to me. I can't remember if I updated my phone but I do remember restarting it, so that may have been the reason. I couldn't get a physical or esim to work. I tried getting help through my carrier as well as Verizon. Nothing worked. I had insurance on my phone but didn't want to pay a $500 deductible, so I bought a refurbished phone off of Amazon for $200. Haven't had a problem so far...šŸ¤žšŸ½
