I'm also still using an s20. I've been trying to find out where on the phone notes are stored for a long time but no one knows. I hate cloud services but I have notes i cannot lose so I finally used the Samsung Cloud backup option. I cannot help you recover your lost notes but I would recommend you backup to one of the offered options in the future for instances such as this.
