Storage says its almost full, already deleted photos and videos

I am having issues with my storage, it keeps telling me my storage is almost full. I have deleted all my photos and video from the gallery and the storage space did not got down. I have removed it from the trash as well, but it keeps saying I'm using 72.2 GB of storage with my Gallery. How can I free up space? This is the only thing I hate about the Galaxy, no SD slot for extra storage.

Do you use Telegram?

I do, and Whatsapp.

Telegram - Settings - Data and Storage - Storage Usage - Clear Telegram Cache.

You may also want to move the slider to one week.

@Carlos93 In Gallery, did you empty the trash? 

1. In Gallery click the 3 line menu in lower right
2. Click on Trash
3. Click on Empty in upper right.

Yes, I did that. It was the Telegram app.
